The first point of contact is your doctor (GP) they will have additional resources, testing and programs such as ACAT assessments, referrals to an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or mental health professional.

Your local shire office, contact your shire or city council to see what rebates, discounts or programs they have for people in your position. Some rebates may include home security upgrades, discounts on up to $700 off of your land rates, energy assistance rebates, car registration. It's worth a call or email to find out.

Service providers and institutions - It does take a lot of time, but phoning your bank, energy provider, insurance companies etc. And simply explaining your situation and how your cost of living has increased due to your disability and are any discounts or rebates available?
